Operation Shoebox May 8, 2007 Arnold’s students showed their support for the Maryland Army National Guard by putting together shoeboxes full of treats. Soldiers arrived at Arnold on Tuesday in humvees, trucks, and jeeps to pick up the boxes. They will take the treats with the unit as it deploys to Iraq in June. The project was coordinated by Melody Moore, our terrific kindergarten teacher. Her friend Lt. John Pitts arranged for the pickup.
